The massacre was carried out with rudimentary tools like machetes, which made the heinous crime of genocide even more brutal and unbearable. For a long time in my work, I have associated the color blue with justice, so I predominantly used this color. I have found that the characters of Chinese 'hanzi' writing are similar in shape to machetes, and I have tried to write the word that least describes genocide, as it was the most absent during that time and in that place: Love.
